    U11 Jarvis Brook Juniors (2) v (2) U11 Tonbridge Junior Spitfires

The game started slowly for Jarvis Brook with Tonbridge dominating the first 20 minutes of the game. This resulted in them putting two goals way.

Jarvis Brook upped the tempo and started passing the ball around allowing Oliver Stone to put a goal away 5 minutes before the half time whistle.

Half time started with Jarvis Brook fighting back. Harry Hook and Tom Waterman in defence for the Brook had a great game and never gave up.

Several great saves from goal keeper Will Porter kept them in the game.

With less than 10 minutes before the end, Emir Ford, striker for the blues, received a ball from just beyond the half way line. Emir’s pace on the ball left the Tonbridge defence behind and he struck a great ball past their keeper to end the game with a well-deserved draw. A great determined team effort from Jarvis Brook.

    U15 Jarvis Brook Juniors (2) v (1) Hawks Youth

Jarvis Brook under-15s claimed all three points in dramatic fashion at home on Sunday, with a last-gasp goal against Hawks Youth in a 2-1 win.

A relatively quiet first half saw few genuine chances for either side, one good effort from Jake Hampson came close to opening the scoring as his long-range volley almost hit the target and a deflected Connor Bowesman strike tested the visitors defence.

Brook controlled the possession throughout the half and created another great opportunity as Sam Sales looked to have given them the lead with a brilliant lobbed finished but was disappointingly adjudged offside.

However, the home side found themselves 1-0 down as a speculative effort caught out the blues keeper and gifted Hawks an undeserved lead just before the half-time whistle.

Joe O’Reilly soon redeemed his earlier mistake though with a brave stop as he dived at the opposition’s feet to keep his side in the game near the beginning of the restart, leading the way for a flurry of chances as Brook looked for a way back into the game.

After another two openings for Sales, Harry Sansbury came close with two headed efforts firstly from a Robbie Bissett free-kick that hit the post and be then saw his next attempt cleared off the line following a Bowesman corner.

Sansbury’s persistence soon paid off and proved third time lucky – rounding the keeper and slotting the ball home with the next attack for the equaliser.

As Brook pressed for a winner further chances fell for Harry McLeod and Josh Holden while they left themselves vulnerable at the back as Hawks attempted to snatch a goal on the counter attack.

With five minutes to go, McLeod squeezed the ball past the opposition’s keeper from the tightest of angles to set up a nervy ending and claim the points for his team.

Anything less than a win would have been a major disappointment for Brook as they looked the better side throughout and were worthy winners of an important three points.
