JBJ Football Fiesta 2008

Thank you to everyone for making our Jarvis Brook Juniors Football Fiesta 2008 such an enjoyable event to participate in.  There are many individuals to thank for the organisation of such an event so Jarvis Brook would like to thank all the committee members, managers, coaches, parents and children who helped setup, operate and pack away at the end of a very wet weekend of football.  Key to the success of a tournament is also the behaviour of the players, officials and parents from all teams taking part and we would like to thank all those who contributed into making our tournament another successful weekend of football.  If you have any feedback then please contact Frank George our Tournament Director on 01892 653132 or email him at fiesta@jbjfc.org.uk. Celebrating Football Through Photographs and Video

There has been much talk about whether it’s safe to take pictures of under 18s playing sport. The FA would like to assure parents, carers, coaches, spectators, players and local media that they encourage the taking of appropriate images of children in football. The FA have therefore produced the following article explaining the DO’s and DON’Ts of taking images of children in football.  Please click here to view the article – Celebrating Football Through Photographs and Video

Selection for England

Sophie Rudge, a goalkeeper from our U14 Girls team, has been selected for England. She has been selected in a squad of 30 girls to attend an Under 15s Summer Camp ahead of a friendly international against Germany later in the summer.  I am sure you will join us in wishing Sophie every success in her future with England.
